RTM 267 - The Sound of Music (1965)

The hills are alive with 1965's The Sound of Music. One year after Julie Andrews was practically perfect as Mary Poppins, she does it again to tell the story of the Von Trapp Family Singers. A story of love of family and country as the 1938 German occupation of Austria happens around them.

As Disney releases their Lion King prequel, Mufasa, we dive back into the direct-to-video movies to look at the first time they attempted it. 2004's The Lion King 1½ shows how Timon and Pumbaa met as well as their adventures alongside those of the events of the original film.
